Further information on Thailand

Top climate during the winter months

During the dry season from November to February, you can expect warm, dry weather—with average temperatures around 25°C and humidity along the coast often at just around 50%. This creates an optimal training climate and makes it the ideal travel time for cycling holidays in Thailand.

An excellent cycling region

The cycling area around Jomtien/Pattaya is characterized by a great variety of low-traffic routes. The unexpectedly diverse topography, ranging from flat to rolling to hilly, invites fantastic tours. The scenery leaves nothing to be desired either. In the charming areas of the hinterland and along the coast, there are hundreds of kilometres of beautiful routes to explore. The local traffic culture is also very pleasant, with motorized traffic participants showing patience and caution—people look out for each other and show consideration.

Contrasting culture

Thailand has a great deal to offer culturally. The most famous and striking are the countless Buddhist temples and shrines, known as Wats, which are a part of everyday life. The artfully crafted and colourfully decorated buildings reflect the teachings of Buddhism, the predominant religion, and philosophy of Thailand.

Delicious Thai cuisine

Thailand also plays a significant role on the culinary map. Dishes like Pad Thai (fried noodles) and Red and Green Curries are known worldwide. Try these and countless other delicious dishes in their country of origin — it doesn’t get more authentic or fresher than this.
